American Dream Down Payment Initiative (ADDI)

  • Maximum loan of 6% of the purchase price or $10,000 (whichever is greater)
  • Loan amount decreases annually on a pro-rata basis when the lien will be released as long as the buyer remains in the home
  • Total household income cannot exceed 80% of the Area Median Income for the Stamford-Norwalk, Bridgeport, or Danbury Metropolitan Statistical Areas

Workforce Housing Down Payment Fund

  • Interest-free loan to be used toward the costs of down payment in Connecticut
  • Buyers must purchase property in the community in which they work
  • Lower transportation costs

Home Buyer’s Education

To qualify for down payment assistance in Connecticut, buyers are required to attend an 8-hour HDF orientation session and complete the HDF homeownership counseling program.
