My name is Ron Miles (a.k.a. Captain Ron) and I am a licensed Personal Advisor here at Meridian Home Mortgage Corporation.
I was born in Towson, Maryland and currently live in Westminster. I graduated from Salisbury University, where I met my wife, Samantha. We have two daughters, Summer and Skylar. They are very active in sports and I enjoy coaching some of their lacrosse and basketball teams. When we aren't busy with sports we love to spend time on our boat, fishing and exploring all that the Chesapeake Bay has to offer.
My love for boating and the water inspired me to study for and obtain my Captain's license. I hold a 50 gross ton Master's Captain's license issued by the United States Coast Guard.
One of the best things about working in the mortgage industry is helping people help themselves, especially in hard economic times.
During college I joined the Army, but I knew it wouldn't be my lifelong career. I fulfilled my obligation to my country, ending with the rank of Sergeant E5.
I have always liked working with people and numbers, so the mortgage business seemed like an excellent opportunity. Before I joined the team at Meridian, I worked in the mortgage industry for 19 years. I owned and operated a mortgage company for 12 years where I managed about 40 employees.
One of the best things about working in the mortgage industry is helping people help themselves, especially in hard economic times.
