Florida Down Payment Assistance

The following mortgage down payment assistance program was developed by the State of Florida to administer funds to local governments in an effort to provide affordable homeownership to residents. See more information about local Florida down payment assistance programs.

• Maximum loan of $15,000 to use towards Florida down payment and closing costs for the purchase of an existing home


• Maximum loan of $25,000 to use towards Florida down payment and closing costs for the purchase of a new home


• Payable upon payoff of your first mortgage, sale of your home, or transfer of title

To qualify for down payment assistance in Florida, buyers are required to attend an approved Credit Counseling Clinic and receive a certificate of completion.
