Delaware Down Payment Assistance

The following mortgage down payment assistance programs were developed by the Delaware State Housing Authority (DSHA). See more information about Delaware Local down payment assistance programs.

• Maximum loan of $10,000 for those who qualify for down payment assistance in Delaware


• Payable at the end of 30 years (or upon payoff of your first mortgage, sale of your home, or transfer of title

• Participating employers provide employees with a Delaware down payment grant to be used towards the purchase of a home within a 3-mile radius of the workplace


• Minimum loan of $1,000, to be matched by DHSA and the participating local jurisdiction

To qualify for down payment assistance in Delaware, buyers are required to participate in a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) certified housing counseling/home ownership program.
